Kamakura

Kamakura

The city of Kamakura is a small settlement positioned in the Prefecture Kanagawa, in south direction from the capital of Japan, Tokyo. Once a political capital of the country, today the city has many temples to show to the tourist, great Kamakura accommodation and peaceful atmosphere. The place is often visited for a short-stay, as it is a day trip from Tokyo and there are good transportation options.

The landmarks that deserve the attention are all set near the Kamakura apartments featured here and include the statue of the Great Buddha and the monument Hase Kannon. The place is also good for shopping and is famous for the special biscuit prepared here and called Hatosabure, which is formed like a pigeon. The dining out is pleasant and most of the eating places are set near the train station.Good to be tried is a local dish known as 'purple potato soft ice cream'. In the summer are working plenty of temporary bars on the beach which welcome DJ's and live bands, and which offer great atmosphere for a night out.
