You are situated right by the main concourse of Barcelona, the main street which runs from Placa de Catalunya to the Port Vell. There are many attractions, such as street performers, pavement cafes and beautiful architecture. Also here is the La Boqueria, this is the biggest market in Europe, at 6000 m2. The market structure in its current form was built in 1914 but trading dates right back to 13th Century. There is an array of fresh fish, vegetables and many other tempting products from around the world. There are also many tapas bars where you can sample, the fresh produce with a beer or two. Other attractions nearby - the MACBA and CCCB, are two of the most well known contemporary art galleries in Barcelona. The apartment itself is brand new, sleeps up to four, two in a bed, and two on a sofa. It is quiet as it's located at the back of the building and an easy walk from most of Barcelona. If you are feeling lazy the metro is 1 minute away.
