The Spanish city Barcelona has many beaches, but the most famous one is Barceloneta beach, positioned in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood. Formed during the 18th century, the neighborhood is triangular and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Port Vell and the El Born neighborhoods and is serviced by the Barcelona metro. The beach is sandy and features many restaurants, cafes and night clubs along its side. An interesting fact would be that Barceloneta was mentioned in the second book of Don Quijote de la Mancha.
