Barcelona is a lovely Spanish city with seven beaches that has total coastline of four-and-a-half kilometers. The oldest and largest beaches in Barcelona, and those that are most visited are Sant Sebastian and Barceloneta. The other beaches which are separated by the Olympic port are Bogatell, Nova Icaria and Llevant, Mar Bella and Nova Mar Bella. Most of these beaches were opened for the Summer Olympics of 1992 when many industrial buildings were demolished. The coastline of Barcelona is very pleasant and no matter which beach the tourists choose, they will be satisfied with the area and the available amenities.
