Situated in the centre of Barcelona, La Rambla is a popular tourist street which is more than a kilometer long. Lined with trees and open for pedestrians, La Rambla connects Placa Catalunya with the monument of Christopher Columbus at Port Vell. The area is usually crowded with tourists as it is a very pleasant area, full of souvenir shops and newsstands, small open-air cafes, nice restaurants and many fast-food eateries, flower shops, etc.
