Being among some of the best known and most business places of the Spanish capital Madrid, Puerta Del Sol or 'The Gate of the Sun' is set in the downtown area of the city, just at the point of the Spanish roads network. On Puerta Del Sol square is located the famous clock Twelve Grapes, that marls the beginning of each new year. Here are situated also the office of the President of Madrid, the statue of Charles III of Spain, the Tio Pepe lighted sign and the madrone tree. Puerta Del Sol Square connects some of the main recreation and commercial areas of the city.
