Nestled in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park area, a visit to the Blackthorn self-catering holiday cottage is a luxurious way to spend your time in Scotland. Many historical landmarks, areas of natural beauty and leisure pursuits such as sailing, archery and horseback riding are all easily accessible from the cottage. The exciting and vibrant city of Glasgow is a mere 30-minute drive away. The exterior of this detached cottage is built of green timber, blending with the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The three bedrooms are all en-suite with large wardrobes, and the first bedroom contains a king-size four-poster bed and a spa bath great for taking away the aches and pains after a busy day in the countryside. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed, while the third contains two single beds as well as a sofa-bed, along with a double shower. The cottage has a maximum occupancy of 8 people. The spacious sitting room contains a beautiful oak floor with leather settees and a reclining chair. The patio doors lead to a covered outdoor dining area and a garden. You can enjoy alfresco dining and barbeques here, while watching stunning sunsets over Loch Lomond. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a ceramic hob, microwave, coffee pot, washing machine, fridge and freezer. If you’re planning a special occasion, fine bone china and crystal goblets can be supplied, as well as champagne, chocolates, nibbles and fruit for your arrival. Set within the mature grounds of a family-owned country estate, Blackthorn Cottage is the perfect place to relax and to use as a base from which to explore the local countryside and beyond.
