- The Newburgh, a Victorian building from 1861 is now a welcoming family guesthouse. Under new management, the hotel has recently been restored and decorated and is a comfortable place to stay, with a clean and elegant atmosphere as well as delightful cuisine. For the sake of cleanliness and the comfort of our guests, the hotel is totally non-smoking. We do not accept bookings from stag or hen parties and from same sex groups of more than two. We gladly invite you to rest and enjoy our guesthouse either for a fortnight, a week or just a weekend. We are ready to make your anniversary or other special occasions memorable. You are welcome the year round for one of Europe's best resorts, which offers a lot to see and enjoy. The hotel is set near enough to all the interest places in the Riviera and yet it's position provides a tranquil sojourn a bit way from the noisy town. A pleasant stroll of about 300 meters will lead you to the beach; still closer you will find the town centre and the harbour. Dartmoor and the beautiful South Devon coastline are nearby. The train and the coach station are close enough for your convenience and we can make arrangements to collect you if you wish. And if this is not enough to prove our high quality, we are happy to announce that in 2005 we were awarded a Three Diamond rating.
